Who We Are

We are a team of Aerospace Professionals who understands the challenges of today's competitive environment. Each executive in our team and our committees have decades of experience in our respective areas and combined have well in excess of 500 years. Our sincere goal is to help the SoCal Supply Chain by introducing new customers to exhibitors and bring new markets to them, provide the visibility needed and suggest marketing opportunities while helping visiting customers and other manufacturers connect and get to know you.

Our Mission

 We will provide our extensive Aerospace, Defense & Space Global contacts and Tradeshow experience to organize and produce reasonably priced A&D B2B Matchmaking Conferences to help Suppliers make new connections with global customers, to help OEMs find new sources of supply and provide training where appropriate to help the workforce become more employable.

 To unite the SoCal A&D Supply Chain with new customers and help improve it so that it grows and prospers while helping the workforce to be more employable and increase the employment base, so that suppliers exceed OEMs expectations and can count on them for all their A&D manufacturing needs.

Welcome to Socal Aerospace Expo, a division of Socal Aerospace Group (a California Corporation), where you will find our Tradeshow and Conference Services very affordable and specific to your Aerospace and Defense needs.

We are seasoned leaders who have worked in Aerospace all our careers in a variety of roles in small privately held companies, large public companies as well as our own.

In addition to our A&D Tradeshow B2B Matchmaking Meetings, we will also bring top line Industry Executives to speak about several key areas of specific interest to SoCal Aerospace and Defense manufacturers, in line with what OEMs expect and need of them. We understand what it means to have constraints and high expectations. So we will endeavor to bridge the gap between OEM's high expectations with what the supply chain is perceived to provide. In doing so, we hope to help companies connect with OEMs wanting their products and services at a value in line with their needs. And where appropriate, the conference will help train suppliers to reach higher goals and even perhaps begin a journey to diversification. A win-win for everyone, and specially for the SoCal economy and our experienced workforce.

We also plan to find ways to help train the workforce by first understanding what the suppliers need, and what the workforce might be lacking so that thru training they can become more employable to support the supply chain growth. Additionally, it is our intent to bring timely information about the state of current A&D Programs, so that manufacturers can benefit from having a local resource to tap into without needing to travel overseas and without breaking the bank. We have the experience to lead and the resources to help you surpass your goals... Meet The Team

Al Devile, CEO

Mr. Devile, has 30 years of Aerospace and Defense (Commercial, Military and Space) experience working for Boeing/Douglas Aircraft and various Global Component Manufacturers, for production and aftermarket . He managed Engineering, Estimating, Production Control, Program Management, Sales, Marketing and Operations at Director level or above in private and public companies with revenues approaching $100M. His Aerospace products experience includes Aircraft Fasteners, Hydraulic Tube Fittings, Hoses, Life Support, Interiors products and Satellite Propulsion System Components, besides non-IP products such as rubber, metal and plastic built to print components. He is multi-lingual, earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from CSUN, MBA from Pepperdine, PMP from PMI, has received Karrass Negotiations training, Miller Heiman Sales Training, has published 15 SAE Aerospace Standards and has received several awards along the way. He is currently a member of: Los Angeles Mayor's (Eric Garcetti) Global Export and Investment Council, AMP SoCal Executive Steering Committee and Aerospace & Defense Forum (OC) Steering committee. He is also Group Owner of LinkedIn's Aerospace and Defense Manufacturer's Representatives  and organizer and producer of the SoCal Aerospace expo.

Mark Schneider, General Counsel

VertexLex is a specialized law and advisory firm for matters primarily, but not exclusively, related to intellectual property. Carl LaPlante, Expo Facilities Manager

Mr. Carl LaPlante, President of Cybernetics, has over 35 years experience in software and information systems analysis. With Sierra since 1981, he is responsible for all software and systems development business activities. He has consulted to federal, city, and commercial clients on projects as diverse as providing data processing software and MIS facility management for Marine Corps systems, MIS analyses to Abu Dhabi National Oil Company for a Records Management System, and management of the San Francisco Building Inspection Workflow Automation System. He holds a BS degree in Mathematics from Stanford University.

Carl has also worked on other conventions with Mr. Devile And Mr. Webber and was instrumental in their success in the same role.  Carl will be on hand to handle the operational issues at the Expo and he and his team will take care of all your needs then.

Paul Webber, Creative Manager

As the Creative Manager of SoCal Aerospace Group, Paul Webber provides over 35 years of award-winning graphic design, advertising and marketing experience.


After graduating from California State University, Fullerton with a BA degree in graphic design, Paul began his career by working at leading advertising and design firms in Los Angeles and Orange County.

In 2005, Paul established his own company, Graphic Source — a diverse and highly skilled team of professionals. The company consistently designs and implements strategic promotional materials for a wide range of industry-leading clients including; high-tech/industrial, software, medical, and landscape architects, just to name a few.

Paul’s formal education also included special emphasis on marketing and communication. His unique combination of graphic and communication skills provides clients with a powerful and effective competitive edge.
